We are at an inflection point. The nation is attempting to unravel what generations of women — of all backgrounds — fought, bled, and prayed to build. The right to lead. The right to own. The right to rest in spaces that were designed to exclude us.
Camp Fearless is not blind to this moment. It was built for it.
In August 2027, twenty-five women will gather on Martha's Vineyard — one of the most historically significant pieces of ground in Black America — to pray, to build AI-powered businesses, to rest without apology, and to leave with something real. This is reclamation. This is joy as defiance. This is exactly where we are supposed to be.

Oak Bluffs
This is not a destination we discovered. This is a place our people built, claimed, and kept — through segregation, through restriction, through every attempt to tell us we didn't belong. Since the late 1800s, Black women and families have made Oak Bluffs their summer home. Among those who walked these streets: Adam Clayton Powell Jr., Maya Angelou, Langston Hughes, Martin Luther King Jr. The Obama family. The tradition of Black excellence on this island runs centuries deep.
Inkwell Beach
Reclaimed
They named it the Inkwell as an insult — a reference to the skin color of the Black beachgoers who dared to occupy its shores. We took that name and made it sacred. We turned the wound into a landmark. Inkwell Beach is now one of the most famous beaches in America — a gathering place for Harlem Renaissance writers, civil rights pioneers, and generations of Black women who simply refused to be told where they could and couldn't stand. We are going back.

Camp Fearless: The Arrival is intentionally timed to coincide with one of the most significant cultural gatherings in Black America. For over two decades, MVAAFF has been a cultural reunion — a summer sanctuary where the most influential voices in Black film, art, and culture converge in Oak Bluffs. Past attendees have included Barack and Michelle Obama, Spike Lee, Jennifer Hudson, Gayle King, and Ketanji Brown Jackson. We are not coming as tourists. We are arriving as women who belong there. Not watching from the outside. Inside the room.
